I don't panic.
That's the whole thing.
I've been behind the chair for over 20 years. I've run salons, trained stylists, managed the chaos that comes with all of it — and somewhere along the way I figured out that I do my best work when everything is on fire. Not in spite of the pressure. Because of it.
In 2024, I co-founded Another Planet Salon — a booth rental salon in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I walked in when the place was mid-crisis: a business partner had just walked out, the systems were a mess, and the whole thing needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. I didn't walk away. I got to work.
2025 was almost entirely damage control. And by the end of it, the salon was standing — with better numbers, cleaner operations, and a structure that actually works. That process became the foundation for everything I now teach.
"I can see what's broken before you can. And I can show you how to fix it without blowing the whole thing up."
Now I consult with independent salon owners — people 1 to 3 years in, working constantly, barely breaking even, and not sure why. I know why. I've lived it. And I've fixed it.
Another Planet isn't just my salon. It's my proof of concept.
